About this event

Hey disabled artist friend, let’s get together online and talk about art and do some art, and just hang out together online.

No stress, no pressure, participate as much as you like.

All art and craft mediums are welcome, beginners to professionals warmly embraced.

The get together will be using Zoom videoconferencing software. Email us at info@creativescollective.org if you need help getting Zoom on your computer or tablet.

Agenda looks roughly like

5 minutes – Introduction

30 minutes – Show and Tell from previous month from everyone who feels like it

10 minute – Break

15 minutes – questions, networking, opportunities from everyone

45 minutes – doing art with friends

SAW is a non-profit community of comics-makers, by comics-makers, for comics-makers.

Whatever your skill levels or interest, we’re here to share your passion and offer courses to help you build a creative practice that enriches your story and your voice.

Every Friday we invite a different artist to host a 40 minute comics workshop.

Share your work after the workshop below in the comments, as a post using the “Friday Night Comics” topic, on social media using #fridaynightcomics #sawcomics @comicsworkshop, or all of the above!

To register, please select the date of the workshop you want to attend. You will then receive a link from Eventbrite to join the private zoom meeting.

Please note, registrants can only access from one device. This workshop is for adults but rated PG, and kids and teens are welcome with their parents. Appropriate standards of speech and imagery will be adhered to. No hate speech, bullying, harassing, will be allowed.

Drawing Practise Club

About this event

During the session, we all draw the same reference picture that is posted for 6 minutes. 10 quick sketches are completed in ~1 hour. Reference images cover subjects such as anatomy, animals, nature, and expressions. Feel free to draw on the shared digital whiteboard, or follow along in a sketchbook. Artists (and non-artists) of all levels welcome! 🙂

Sessions are hosted on Zoom.

Free Life Drawing Online: Illustration Isolation

Illustration Isolation, is a live figure drawing class we host every Thursday, featuring some of the biggest names int he illustration and visual arts industry. Using reference photography by world famous photographers, our talented guests drawing and paint in real time, answering questions from the audience, sharing stories, and conversing with other guest artists on the panel.

Guest artists include illustrators such as Raymond Bonilla, Bill Koeb, Cassandra Loomis Kim, Audrey Benjaminsen, Vanesa R. Del Rey, Ashly Lovett, Gil Ashby, C. F. Payne, John English, Montalvo Machado, and many more.

Artists of all skill levels are encouraged to attend and participate by drawing along with us.
