About this event
Please join us for our free half day virtual conference presenting the latest UK-wide findings relating to people who died by suicide between 2010 and 2020.
We will examine the circumstances surrounding these deaths, discuss changes in trends over time, and present our recommendations for clinical practice and policy that will improve safety. This year we also present data on certain themed topics, some of which are included because they reflect current economic and societal concerns: patients with recent economic adversity, those aged under 25, and online harm, as well as on patients given a diagnosis of personality disorder and, for the first time, patients who identified as lesbian, gay, bisexual or trans. We will be joined by our guest speaker Ian Russell (Molly Rose Foundation), our expert panellist Helen Undy (Money and Mental Health Policy Institute) and our event will be chaired by Professor Prathiba Chitsabesan (National Clinical Director, NHS England – Children and Young People’s Mental Health Team).
We will also be presenting the winning recipient of the Martin Lawler Research Bursary with their award, details of which can be found here
All welcome.
We would appreciate it if all attendees could register for this event as there is a limit to numbers, so please do not share the webinar link with others. Thank you.
